Typography is a method in graphic design where letters form the primary structural element of a composition. In the context of Iranian graphic design, typography originates from and is intertwined with the art of calligraphy. Therefore, despite its relatively recent emergence, it is backed by a rich historical foundation within Iranian art.
تایپوگرافی، شیوه ای است در طراحی گرافیک که در آن اصلی ترین عنصر سازنده ی یک اثر را حروف تشکیل می دهند. در فضای طراحی گرافیک ایران، تایپوگرافی نشات گرفته از هنر خوشنویسی و آمیخته با آن است و از این رو علیرغم نداشتن سابقه ی طولانی، پشتوانه ای تاریخی در هنر ایرانی دارد.
